THE MAKING OF THE BAND

It is a dream come true for thousands of fans. Consider Camp Freddy an all-star cast, a powerhouse of rock music. But how did this good thing happen? What did we do to deserve this in our lifetime? Camp Freddy was formed in 2002 in one of the streets of Los Angeles California. Each member is a member of a different band but because of mutual respect and admiration for each other’s musical prowess, they gravitated towards each other and friendship blossomed among the band members. They started jamming to their favorite songs and when some fans heard them, the clamor was intense. That was why Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, singer/actor Donovan Leitch, Jr., Billy Morrison of Royal Machines, Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction, and Matthew Sorum of Guns and Roses decided to officially come together as one band and named themselves after a character from the movie The Italian Job. They described their music as hard rock and they continued jamming to different songs, giving each song their particular brand of music. This appealed to thousands of fans which led to a series of shows and performances in different parts of America. Soon, Chris Chaney also of Jane’s Addiction also joined the band. On vocals, Camp Freddy is proud to have the powerful voices of Weiland, Bennington, Leitch, Jr., and Sorum. Chaney and Ford were in charge of the bass. Navarro played the lead guitar while Morrison was in charge of rhythm guitar. Camp Freddy would also get the support of other notable musicians who lent their talents and musical prowess to the band such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Sebastian Bach, Macy Gray, Courtney Love, Mike Shinoda, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Morello, Slash, and a whole lot more talented artists who wanted to share the stage with them. Truly, Camp Freddy is not your ordinary rock band. They are a beautiful freak of nature out to make their mark in the music industry.
